This August’s Pure London has attracted more home grown
talent than ever before.
323 UK brands will be exhibiting this season, 80 of which will
be showing for the first time and 39 have chosen the event to
launch their collection. With a batch of new and returning top
UK labels, Brit chic is back! International buyers have become
increasingly interested in high energy British youth brands
who showcase at Pure London and this season the Spirit section
has a wave of exciting brands including Traffic People, Chilli
Pepper, Boxfresh, Fairground, Lily Kitten and Monkee Genes.
Young British brand Lispy will be returning this season once
again delivering sexy and glamorous styles. Their sensual signature
styles are a regular favourite with celebrities such as Lindsay
Lohan, Kate Middleton, Girls Aloud and Lilly Allen. With a collection
no less than vibrant and dynamic, beautifully tailored in a
melange of colours and prints Almost Famous will be back with
their Spring/Summer 09 collection.
Other top brands returning to the Elan sections include Sara
Berman, Fever, James Lakeland, Aftershock, Calla Lily, Nomads
Clothing, Noli and Marcelane. Quintessentially English brand
Joyce Ridings is a newcomer this season. Established 30 years
ago the collection has continued to provide beautiful classic
styles. Spring/Summer 09 comprises of tailored cropped trousers,
waxed linen macs and floaty skirts, a collection not to be missed.
Beautiful chiffon kaftans with eye-catching prints by Rebecca
will also be new for August 08.
Buyers looking for original British footwear and accessories
brands need to look no further than Pure London with a host
of brilliant collections. Terry De Havilland will be returning
with funky wedges in eccentric styles. Velvet Bee will be bringing
their trademark quirky styles with individual new looks from
chunky peep toes, stacked heels to flat pumps.
Other accessory brands to watch include Opika, Anna Lou of
London, Sam Ubhi, Watch This Space, Fiorelli, Ruby Rockit and
Suzy Smith.

Leading bridalwear designer Ian Stuart is set to launch
his new eveningwear collection at this August’s Pure London.
Ian Stuart is infamous in the bridal world, winning numerous
awards, most recently the prestigious honor of ‘Outstanding
Contribution to the Industry’ at the 2008 Bridal Buyer Awards,
after being recognised as the ‘Best Designer of the Year’ for
four consecutive years.
Ian Stuart was also recently featured on BBC’s hit show, The
Apprentice, where his collection helped the winning team achieve
a landslide victory. Sir Alan even went on to refer to Ian as
'the jewel in the crown'. After driving the bridal industry
into new heights, Ian Stuart is now set to hit the fashion world
with his glamorous eveningwear collection portraying his signature
style. Beautifully crafted dresses in silk and chiffon with
intricate and ornate detailing are perfect for every special
occasion.

Apprentice star Ghazal Asif has swapped Sir Alan’s boardroom
for the fashion world, launching her own fashion range at this
August’s Pure London.
Ghazal was one of sixteen candidates selected to participate
in the 3rd series of BBC1’s hit show The Apprentice. Now the
24 year old Glaswegian is set to launch her collection, Ghazals
Couture, to thousands of UK and international buyers at Pure
London.
Being the youngest ever candidate since the series began, this
was an achievement in itself which demonstrated Ghazal’s drive
and hunger to succeed. Fired in week eight, Ghazal did not allow
this to dampen her enthusiasm. "Following my experience on the
Apprentice in 2007 I felt I had to follow my heart and start
my own fashion label.
My Asian roots have inspired my collection with pearl and jewel
encrusted pieces as my signature.” Ghazal comments. The collection
falls into three categories, the limited edition 'Black' label
containing signature pearl encrusted pieces in cottons and chiffons.
The ‘Red’ label which comprises of easily affordable beautifully
embellished chiffon blouses and the luxurious couture made-to-order
'White' label.
The collection is elegant, yet glamorous, with simple shapes
creating a modern style perfect for any women. “The immediate
reaction has been incredibly positive and the current collection
- which became available in June 2008 - is stocked both in Glasgow
and Gerrards Cross as well as by The Look Boutique.com.
I am very excited about showing at Pure London for the first

Hudson Jeans, the premium denim brand, will make its debut
at Pure London this August.
Hudson Jeans are famous for curve-hugging; comfortable fit
the ‘signature bootcut’ jeans, their double button closure and
back flap pockets. Now in its fourth season, Hudson Jeans Spring
Summer 09 collection builds further with an array of denim washes,
style and fits. Super skinny, bootcut and flares are mixed with
striking array of block spring colours including royal blue
and white.
It’s prominent styles and union jack icon has already gained
adoration from numerous A-list fans, including Cameron Diaz,

They say that fashion never stands still and looking at
Pure London, the UK’s leading trade fashion event, you can see
why!
Taking place 3 – 5 August 2008 at London Olympia, Pure London
will bring together an unbeatable line up of the most wanted
brands in fashion. This season the Spirit section is set to
showcase the largest selection of urban streetwear and young
creative designs to date. Buyers will be spoilt for choice with
the arrival of denim brands Hudson Jeans, 1921, Tashina Jeans,
Monkee Genes and Boon-Dah Jeans. Rocawear have just confirmed
to be this season’s official music sponsor for the section.
The label launched off of the meteoric success of American rapper
Jay-Z will be brining the section to life with their hip-hop
tracks and showcasing their fantastic urban streetwear collection
with bold and sexy styles.
Three exciting new Turkish brands Pocket Money, Raca and Jaunty
will be exhibiting for the first time and mixing a-symmetrical
designs with glamorous, sexy fabrics, Kuyah will be showcasing
their latest collection. Alongside the new exhibitors, Spirit
welcome the return of loved brands EDC, Yumi, TFNC, Tofu, Lipsy
and nümph, allowing buyers to stock up on Spring/Summer 2009
collections.
Quintessentially British streetwear brand Boxfresh will be
back again in August after the success of their last show. Catina
Filardo from Boxfresh commented “As first time exhibitors in
February we found Pure London to be a successful launching pad
for our AW08 collection. The reaction to the collection was
far greater than we anticipated picking up new business with
key independent accounts across the country as well as generating
interest with many others as a brand to watch for SS09” After
just being awarded the ‘Organically Grown Cotton Standard’ award
from the Soil Association and the first ever denim brand to
produce fully organic jeans, Road Clothing will present a collection
of stylish colourful jeans.
Loved by hip hop stars in the US, women’s urban brand Applebottoms
is now set to return to Pure London. After recently being featured
in the lyrics of American rapper, Flo Rida’s top hit Low, Applebottoms
have now become a globally recognised brand. The clothing line
caters to trendsetting women of all shapes and sizes, celebrating
and liberating the natural curves of a woman’s body. Motel will
be also be returning with a vintage inspired collection. Alluring
strapless dresses, chunky knit cardigans, and retro style skirts,
this is another must see brand.
Canadian brand Gentle Fawn are new to the section this August
presenting a range of styles from full A-line skirts cut above
the knee, cardigans either cropped or long to cute patterned
dresses. Volume is also key to their Spring Summer range with
giant funnel collars, oversized sleeves and long tanks with
deep rib bands.
Must have labels for the confident fashionistas, Spirit will
once again be bringing fashion to life in bright and vibrant
surroundings. The Spirit catwalk will be injecting even more
energy and atmosphere to the young creative fashion section.

Pure London will boasts its largest ever collection of accessories
and footwear at this season’s show, 3 – 5 August at London Olympia.
As handbags and shoes are girls ultimate guilty pleasures,
buyers will have the chance to wow their customers with Spring/Summer
09 must-have brands. With new collections from Vendula London,
Seeberger, Hard Hearted Harlot and Buygo plus favorites like
Olga Berg, Fiorelli, Moda in Pelle and Birkenstock retailers
can find some of the best new talent and be sure to secure some
fabulous collections.
Accessories and Footwear will be taking up an entire top floor
at Pure London, with over 380 collections of shoes, jewellery,
bags, belts, hats, and wraps that have been hand-picked for
the event. Launching for the first time this August will be
Accessories by Park Lane. From delicate timeless styles to on-trend
designs, each piece is handmade using top grade zirconia or
crystals.
Sam Ubhi will be making a welcomed return this season, fresh
from winning the ‘Women’s Accessories’ category at the UK Fashion
Export Awards. The ethical jewellery collection, focusing strongly
on statement earrings and stylish drop pendants, has been featured
on top TV programs such as Britain’s Next Top Model.
Award winning jewellery brand Gaby’s is set to launch a separate
handbag collection called Gabriella at the show. The new range
will consist of elegant and luxurious day bags in a range of

same house as R12K, Meko will also be debuting a gorgeous collection
of chunky leather bags as well as all the fabulous new collections
from Pure London favorite’s Ollie and Nic and Billy Bag, definite

Fresh from Australia, Mogil’s collection will present a step
into the unknown with eye-catching boots and shoes in new shades
of hot pinks, vintage purples with unique buckle applications,
blended skin finishes and details.
Laidback London will be returning to the footwear section,
after recently taking over the UK distribution for California
based sheepskin boot brand Koolabura. Loved by celebrities from
across the globe, this is a fantastic new arrival.
Mixing comfort, durability and their unmistakable identity
Panama Jack will be another brand not to miss along with Dick
Boons, B4YOU and All Black.

Unique mix of brands gives retailers the edge
The UK’s leading fashion trade show, Pure London, is preparing
to present the most sought after fashion line-up to thrill thousands
of UK and International buyers. Taking place 3-5 August at London
Olympia, Pure London is a renowned hunting ground for classic
as well as up and coming labels, now in its 24th season the
show is celebrating a wave of new fantastic brands.
Buyers and retailers from across the globe will have the opportunity
to browse an unrivalled product mix of over 800 brands. Key
to the fashion calendar, no other event offers buyers a one
stop shop experience with everything from mainstream favourites
to internationally renowned designer brands.
As the show continues to grow, so does the number of first
time exhibitors. Pure Spirit has expanded attracting big international
brands including 1921, HudsonJeans, Boon-Dah Jeans, Woona and
Gentle Fawn. With a fresh burst of individuality, Monkee Genes
will be offering everything from skinny slim fitted jeans to
loose flairs in classic and colourful tones.
Another exciting brand launching this season is Rocawear, the
urban clothing label created by legendary rapper Jay-Z. Buyers
are able to visit their key suppliers and best selling brands
such as Sarah Pacini, CCDK, Oui Moment, Nougat London, Bitte
Kai Rand, Izaak, Passport and Ispiraot. This is just a taste
of the returning design talent exhibiting this season in the
Elan sections.
New brands offering retailers products to add a point of difference
to their stores during the tough season include Sylvia Heise
who’s collection pays homage to the ‘little black dress’ offering
a range of elegant feminine pieces. Concept UK will also be
new to the Elan section showcasing modern basics ranging from
the simple tees to stunning jackets. Other big names to look
out for are Darling, Surkana and BNG.
The Accessories and Footwear section has increased by an impressive
28% with some fantastic new arrivals. One UK buyer from the
last February’s show commented ‘You pretty much have everything
you need here; Pure London has everything under one roof.’
Adding to the list of debuts is Noranorway, providing stunning
accessories inspired by the raw natural beauty of the Norwegian
landscape. Jackie Brazil will be exhibiting an outstanding collection
of handmade Brazilian Resin jewellery with unique designs in
modern and colourful pieces of Brazilian art – there is something
for every retailer!
Stepping up the collections this August, Pure Footwear introduces
a range of exciting brands. The hottest thing to come out of
New York and seen on hit US sitcom Desperate Housewives, Madison
Harding will be exhibiting everything from glamorous heels to
stylish flats. Also new this season is Hispanitas, who will
be showcasing beautifully handcrafted designs, combining comfort,
fashion and design.
Exclusive trend reports presented by Drapers will offer buyers
top tips as to what the hot looks will be while trend led daily
catwalk shows, both in Elan and in the Spirit section, will
show how to put the looks together and offer inspiration for
merchandising. The main Pure London catwalk will also get a

Pure Simplifies Access
London Olympia London prepares to become the international
fashion focus for the world’s leading retailers, buyers and
journalists. Pure London springs into season introducing a total
of six fresh sections within the show;
Elan Boutique, Elan Directional, Elan Studio, Spirit, Accessories
and Footwear, creating a vibrant new atmosphere at the event
as well as providing visitors with a more effective and enjoyable
buying experience. Elan Directional will include design led
and creatively focused collections with the return of well loved
brands such as Aftershock, CCDK, Nougat, Oui Moments and Bandolera.
This season exciting eveningwear collections will be showcased
in the Elan Boutique area with exquisite designs from Gemy Couture
and Anoushka G.
Showing contemporary bridge lines, Elan Studio will offer a
wide mix of tailored and timeless collections. Pure London regulars
within the division include Sarah Pacini and James Lakeland.
The Spirit young fashion section has attracted a wave of well
known brands, both British and international including Rocawear,
Chilli Pepper, Boxfresh and Yumi to name but a few. The Spirit
section will once again be staging its very own Spirit catwalk
show – a definite must see!
Following its huge success in the February show Pure Footwear
will return offering a section dedicated to designer and contemporary
footwear brands. Look out for Portuguese brand Hard Hearted
Harlot and London brand Shelly’s who launch this season as well
as returning brands Rocket Dog, Steve Madden and Fly London.
The Accessories section houses the latest collection of bags,
